Medical Recovery Fundraiser to Benefit GF Member Sharon Cummings

Sharon's Story

As many of you already know, long time member and friend of Good Friends Sharon Cummings was found unresponsive on Feb 14th in her office. She was revived but in a comma for several weeks after. She is starting to come around but her recovery and rehabilitation is going to be lengthy. Good Friends wants to help our friend cover medical bills and rehabilitation expenses by offering a charity event in her honor. More information can be found on the Caring Bridge web site.

• Make a donation through Sharon's Gofundme site and bring in your email confirmation into Good Friends
• Bring cash during event on April 13th.
• Credit card donations will be made through Sharon's Gofundme site, we will have laptops available the day of the fundraiser to make donations.
• Purchase a Friends Fight for Friends T-Shirt*. Proceeds will be donated through Sharon's Gofundme site

*T-Shirts purchased can be picked up in the studio or shipped. Orders may take up to 10 days for processing + shipping time.

About Good Friends Gives

Good Friends Group Fitness is committed to serving our members and our community as a whole. Our commitment extends past our ability to donate funds or sponsor events and onto harnessing the power of our membership and using our resources in the best ways possible. This commitment is exemplified through our philanthropic arm, Good Friends Gives.

Good Friends Gives was launched in response to participating in the Girl Scout Walk/Run, the Race Judica Annual 5k Walk/Run benefiting The Refuge House, the Stomping Out Type Two Diabetes Walk/Run & Mountain Bike Race and Spinning Nation 2010 Ride 2 Recover raising money for disabled veterans – all by the end of our second month of operation.

Good Friends Gives is everything from forming teams to raising money and participating in an event, to sponsoring an event with donated funds, to helping coordinate the effort and lastly, promoting community events, information and resources to all of our members.

Good Friends welcomes all community event information because we believe all community efforts are worthy of promotion. Please let us know if there is an effort in Tallahassee/Leon County that would appeal to our membership and would be a good fit for Good Friends Gives.
